How often do you have coin auctions?

Every week, auctions start and ends Tuesday evenings.

Can I pick up a day other than listed pickup days?

Yes, an appointment can be scheduled for you.

Can I change my bid if I change my mind?

The short answer is, no. Once your bid (including you max bid) is made it is set. In the event a bid was mistakenly placed on the wrong lot a call will have to be made into customer service to request it removed.

Can I pay with cash?

Yes. Let the auction team know you will be paying cash at registration or immediately following the end of the action.  Other payments we accept are credit card, Venmo, check, and Zelle.

Is a check the same as a cash payment and do I get the cash discount?

Yes, a qualifies for the cash discount. New bidders will have a 2-week hold on check before items ship.

Can I pay with PayPal?

No, we do not accept Paypal at this time. Forms of payments we do take are cash, credit card, Zelle, Venmo, and check.

What is your commission?

What is your listing process?

∙Items will be scheduled or listed depending on the type of items sent for consignment. High-end and rare items will take precedence over duplicate and common date items; decided by Wilson Creek Auctions.  

∙Wilson Creek Auctions guarantees that the lots are genuine and real to bidders. Consignors will be held responsible for their consignments. We reserve the right to list, not list, and/or pull and consignment in question.  

∙Once items have been listed, consigners will receive an email with a consigner report with a list of their items and lot numbers to review. Consignors should notify Wilson Creek Auctions with questions or adjustments.

∙Consignor check will be written out one week after the auction has ended. Some items sold on the auction may have a delayed payment. Once Wilson Creek Auctions has received the payment, the consignor will be paid. “They will be paid, when we get paid”

∙Bidder Non payment: Bidder will be notified “This is a notification that a coin(s) *** from a past auction was not paid for by the winning bidder. Auction ***  */*/**. This happens from time to time. We will relist your coin(s), once re-listed we will email you your consignment report. Please note, the non-paying bidder has been blocked from participating in future auctions.”

∙Non-sold items will be sent back to consignor.  

What is your receiving process?

Consignment items can be dropped in person or mailed.

Before any consignment is accepted, notification to Wilson Creek Auctions is required. A date and time will be scheduled to receive consignments.  

∙Shipping consignments. Recommended double-box items, and tape very well. Insure shipment, notify Wilson Creek Auctions when package has been sent.

∙Once the package has been received, the consigner will be contacted with text or phone call. A list of the consignment items is recommended to be included with items.

∙Items will be scheduled or listed depending on the type of items sent for consignment. High-end and rare items will take precedence over duplicate and common date items; decided by WCA.

∙Safety/ Security: The Wilson Creek Auctions location has 24/7 camera surveillance, and coins are placed in the vault once listed.

What's the shipping process?

At registration select Shipping Option Box, or reply to auction ending bidding results email ‘Request Shipping’ .

Note:

  • Multi won lots will automatically be combined shipping.
  • Invoices with $100+ insurance will automatically be added unless instructed to ‘Opt Out’.

Process

  • Once we receive shipping request:
    • Your invoice will be pulled for shipping and sent USPS, as affordably as we can.
    • Other shipping curriers available are FedEx and UPS.
  • Once a label is generated:
    • You will receive an email with a tracking number and updated invoice.
    • The shipping charge is a separate transaction, applied to the credit card on file with registration.
